“Sentience is one thing. The other is consciousness and awareness.”

Response.
“Well, it depends who you talk to about consciousness in the scientific community. There are some schools that say consciousness IS sentience and awareness. Others that stipulate sentience as a level or marker of interactive intelligence. Seeing as science doesnt really have a fixed definition or understanding of what consciousness is, and that the science of consciousness i.e. phenomenology, is quite young, I would say myself that to be conscious, or to have consciousness, IS to be sentient.”
